Suzanne Powers

is excited to be making her Theatreworks debut with Act of God. Over the past few years, she has been following Katherine Ray around the state performing in such shows as: Assassins (Sara Jane Moore) at the Warner Theatre; Young Frankenstein (Elizabeth Benning) and Billy Elliot (Mrs. Wilkinson) at Landmark Theater at Thomaston Opera House and The 39 Steps (Annabella, Pamela/Margaret) at the Ridgefield Theater Barn.  In order to maximize the mileage on her car, Suzanne has also appeared in numerous other productions; most recently as Cassie Cooper in Rumors at The New Haven Theatre Company.  Other favorite roles include:  Phyliss Stone in Follies, Georgia Hendricks in Curtains and Velma Von Tussle in Hairspray (Warner Theatre); Muriel Eubanks in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels (Thomaston Opera House), Sister Robert Ann in Nunset Boulevard (Seven Angels Theater); Rose Arnot in Enchanted April, Penny Sycamore in You Can't Take It With You (Center Stage) and Mona Stangley in Best Little Whorehouse… and Vicki in Grand Night for Singing (Orange Players). A resident of New Haven (remember the part about mileage?), Suzanne is a speech-language pathologist when not on stage.  Thanks once again to Kat for taking me on another crazy ride and letting me come out and play!
